Active Optimism in Anxious Times: Celebrating Food First’s New Leadership

It’s been a busy and exciting summer for Food First. This August, we welcomed M. Jahi Chappell as our newest Executive Director. We are excited about the new perspectives and energy Jahi is bringing to Food First, and we want you to celebrate with us.

Please join us on October 16th at 6:30 PM for food, wine, speakers, and good company to celebrate this new chapter in Food First’s 44 year history of fighting the root causes of hunger. With Jahi at the helm, we look forward to continuing the work of supporting communities fighting to change the food system.

As Jahi put it, “we need more than ever hope that does not deceive us, and critique that does not paralyze us. For over 40 years, Food First has been one of the foremost organizations providing rigorous evidence for hope, and critical action and analysis for change.

Tickets for the event are available for $5 on Eventbrite. Space is limited, so please reserve your tickets via Eventbrite as soon as possible. We hope you can make it to celebrate with us and welcome Jahi to the Food First community. For those of you who cannot attend, we will use Facebook Live to stream and record the event.
