Food First’s Executive Director Announces His Retirement

Joyce E. King | 03.04.2019

Dear Friend of Food First,

As President of the Food First Board of Directors, I am writing to share the news that Food First’s executive director of thirteen years, Eric Holt-Gimenez, will retire on June 30, 2019.  We applaud Eric’s many accomplishments and thank him for his dedication and leadership, as we wish him much success in the next phase of his life and work.

The Board is looking forward to working with Eric and the dedicated staff at Food First to ensure this vital organization’s continued success during this time of transition. A hiring process for a permanent executive director will be announced and we are in the process of moving forward with those plans.

Thank you for your continued support of Food First as we move through this transition. The Board of Directors has successfully overseen previous changes at Food First and the organization has always emerged stronger and in an even better position to serve our local and global community partners. With your continued support, for which we are very appreciative, we will do so again as we move through these changes.
