Erik started at Food First as a research intern, eventually becoming an event coordinator organizing our national book tour of Land Justice: Re-Imagining Land, Food, and the Commons in the United States. He is currently Food First’s Communications and Development Associate.
Originally from Bakersfield, CA, Erik has lived in the Bay Area since 2008. He holds a degree in International Relations from San Francisco State University, where he studied the relationship between political economy, financialization, and food systems.
