Bobby L. Wilson
Bobby L. Wilson is Co-Founder and CEO of Metro Atlanta Urban Farm in College Park, GA. Bobby co-founded the five-acre farm as a teaching tool, economic empowerment zone and food production site for the southwest Metropolitan Atlanta area more than fifteen years ago. In addition, Bobby served as Program Director for the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension/Atlanta Urban Gardening Program (AUGP), which created and offered gardening instruction and support to more than three hundred gardens located at public housing complexes, shelters, schools, churches and elder care facilities in Atlanta. He also served as President of the American Community Gardening Association, an organization that is dedicated to increasing and enhancing community gardening across the United States and Canada. In 2022, Bobby was one of twelve individuals nominated and selected to serve on Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack’s inaugural Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production Federal Advisory Committee. With a strong belief in getting back to basics, Bobby works to promote the benefits of urban agriculture in food and job insecure communities using sustainable food production practices.
