Layla Andre is a rising sophomore at the University of California majoring in Urban Studies. Her academic background in urban planning and environmental design shaped her interest in food and environmental justice. Layla is particularly interested in examining how historical planning practices such as redlining have contributed to unequal access to healthy food, environmental resources, and opportunities in marginalized communities.
