Publications

Food First has published over 60 books and hundreds of articles and research reports exposing the root causes of hunger and amplifying the voices of the communities and movements advancing real solutions. While based in rigorous research and analysis, Food First publications are written in an engaging, jargon-free style that appeals to a broad audience of activists, policymakers, students and the general reading public. From short, single-issue Backgrounders to longer Development Reports, the ability to covey complex ideas in accessible language has been the hallmark of Food First publications for four decades. Food First publications are popular as undergraduate course adoptions across a wide range of disciplines, and used as manuals for informed activism by advocacy organizations and community groups.
